THE STORY BEHIND SIX BRICKS @ HOME

What if children needed less from us… and more space to discover for themselves?

Six Bricks @ Home grew from a belief that some of the most powerful learning happens in the smallest moments — when a child notices something, tries an idea, changes it, tries again and suddenly discovers something for themselves.

Not because an adult showed them how.
Because they were given the space to find out.

Six bricks became a way to make those moments happen.

Meet the Founder

Created by an educator. Inspired by children.

I'm Leigh Walker, an educator, facilitator and lifelong believer in the power of curious children.

After years of working alongside young children, teachers and families, I've seen again and again that children are capable of extraordinary thinking when we resist the urge to give them the answer.

My work in inquiry, tinkering, hands-on learning and Six Bricks kept bringing me back to the same idea:

The material doesn't need to be complicated for the thinking to be powerful.

Six Bricks @ Home was created to bring that kind of learning into everyday homes — in a way that feels playful, achievable and genuinely enjoyable for both children and the adults alongside them.

WHAT GUIDES SIX BRICKS @ HOME

I believe children need…

Less showing. MORE DISCOVERING

Less rushing. MORE NOTICING

Less correcting. MORE WONDERING

Less perfection. MORE TRYING

Less "Do it like this." MORE "WHAT DO YOU THINK?"

Because childhood isn’t preparation for thinking.

It’s where thinking begins.

FROM MY HOME TO YOURS

Play. Wonder. Think. Together.

Six Bricks @ Home isn’t about adding another thing to your day.

It’s about making more of the little moments you’re already sharing.

Six bricks.

10–15 minutes.

A curious child.

An adult willing to wonder alongside them.

That’s enough.
